For more than 75 years, Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) has provided electric services for residential, commercial and industrial accounts across Central Virginia. Formed in 1937 by local citizens who believed that electricity could be provided economically to the rural Virginia countryside, the Cooperative has grown to become a dynamic utility serving over 35,000 customers in 14 Virginia counties. CVEC is a member-owned, not-for-profit, electric distribution cooperative.
