DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage and audit the master vendor file in Sage Intacct by ensuring all supporting documentation including W-9s, COIs, payment terms, preferred payment method are recorded and attached.
2. Process and assign all CBC invoices, vendors and suppliers, through SAP Concur timely and accurately for approval. Analyze approved invoices for GL accuracy and perform daily extractions into Sage Intacct.
3. Analyze the vendor aging to initiate and record bi-weekly payment selections via ACH, check, or credit card to remain in good standing with suppliers and vendors and optimize cash flow.
4. Prepare, record, post daily bank transactions and disseminate the statements with appropriate back-up documentation for payment approvals.
5. Manage all CBC issued company credit cards to include ordering, deactivating, linking, monitoring limits, troubleshooting with cardholders on concerns.
6. Reconcile the monthly credit card statement with credit card expense reports in SAP Concur guaranteeing compliance with CBC Expense and Reimbursement policy and timely processing for month-end closing.
7. Control the timely closure of accounts payable each month through adherence to the AP Invoice/Expense calendar and monitoring approvals. Prepare accrual journal entries for payables at month-end.
8. Reconcile the accounts payable aging with accounts payable trial balance resolving or identifying any variances.
9. Develop and implement internal controls for AP processes on a continuing basis.
10. Identify prepaid assets, create prepaid schedules, and prepare reconciliations monthly for prepaid accounts.
11. Identify and prepare reclass journal entries as identified to maintain accurate financial reporting.
12. Prepare and submit NC sales tax filing monthly by analyzing payables, employee sales, and donations.
13. Prepare, file and submit the Unclaimed Property report and 1099 forms annually.
14. Maintain the general ledger and perform reconciliations.
15. Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary information and documents for annual audit.
16. Assist with maintenance of accounting system and recommend updates to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
17. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and processes.
18. Cross-train and provide back-up support for accounting department as needed.
19. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2. Possess education equivalent to bachelor's degree in accounting plus at least three years of
accounting experience.
3. Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
4. Possess a general knowledge of financial accounting; experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger preferred.
5. Possess strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
7. Possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
8. Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
9. Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
10. Possess intermediate reasoning skills including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
11. Possess computer skills requiring knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, budgeting software, and accounting software.
12. Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance.
