Patrick Henry College, located in Purcellville, Virginia, is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration. This is an on-site position.
Reporting to the President, this position is the principal financial officer and board-appointed Treasurer of the College, and serves as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Acquire or have a CPA (preferred but not immediately required). Five (5) years of progressive leadership/administrative responsibility. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of budget preparation monitoring and implementation. Ability to analyze problems, identify effective solutions, and take appropriate action using sound judgment and independent decision-making. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of federal and state laws, policies and procedures related to college operations and financial administration. Experience in Human Resource Management Knowledge of and experience with public or higher education financial systems. Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs, and Great Plains Dynamics.
Job Duties:
Reports to the President and serves as the College’s principal financial officer and Board-appointed Treasurer, overseeing all aspects of the College’s financial and fiscal management Partners with the Executive VP on long-term strategy and annual financial planning. Focuses on improving and supporting the student experience through effective financial leadership Provides strategic financial insight and leadership directing all financial and administrative operations, including:
Accounting and finance Strategic planning for capital improvements and long-range financial health Budgeting Human resources, payroll and risk management Maintains compliance with audit standards, internal controls, and state/federal regulations. Advises on policy updates and manage external vendor relationships to support financial objectives. Provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends
