Join our in-house Accounting Team as a Staff Accountant I and get on a fast-track in your career in government contractor accounting! SA-TECH is looking for an individual with significant professional advancement potential who will initially learn and perform all facets of core level accounting and eventually advance to levels of senior financial management.
Initial responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) generating and submitting invoices to government contract customers, preparing bank statement reconciliations, reconciling credit card accounts, reviewing expense reports, posting journal entries, and assisting with payroll processing.
Work Conditions:
- High-paced office environment working with all levels within the company.
- Most work accomplished in an office environment utilizing desktop computer and phone, directly interfacing with employees and customers.
- The position will include 80% sitting, 5% reaching, 5% lifting 5% walking & 5% standing.
- Normal work days are Monday thru Friday with typical office hours being 8am-5pm.
Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills
- A four year Bachelor's degree in Accounting at a minimum.
- Proven success, whether through academic achievement alone or a combination of academic and work achievement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic. Self-starter. Quick to take initiative and to seek additional tasking when available.
- The ability to consistently produce accurate work products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
- U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
- All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
