If you are a highly motivated, experienced tax accountant with a love of working on and assembling complex tax returns, we need you to help our client who is a local Richmond area public accounting firm who has been in business for over 30 years providing income and estate tax services to individuals, businesses and fiduciaries.
What you’ll do:
As a Tax Accountant and member of this small group of talented experts, you will advance our clients goal of providing close, personal attention by preparing complex tax returns for high net-worth individuals that involve multi-state filing requirements, business income tax returns for partnership and Sub S corporate clients and fiduciary income tax returns. This position is considered part–time but could be considered full-time for the right person.
The Experience you’ll Bring:
You must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Must have 6 years of tax accounting experience preparing complex tax returns that involve multi-state filing requirements, business income tax returns for partnership and Sub S corporate clients and fiduciary income tax returns.
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience using ProSystems FX and Document file retention
C.P.A is preferred but not required
Strong experience with Quickbooks and MS Office products
Strong communication and high attention to detail
Must be able to collaborate and take constructive criticism during the tax process and review.
Must be flexible and able to work some weekends and longer than usual hours during tax season.

A lot of flexibility: This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a lot of flexibility during the summer and fall. As an employee of our client you’ll work Part-Time up to 1600 hours or more depending on business need and really hard during tax season but post May 1st you may only need to be in the office two or three days per week but you will still get a check every two weeks of the year.
