The financial planning specialist works closely with the financial advisors, other team members, and Ameriprise home office employees to help clients achieve their financial goals. This role provides financial planning support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare financial plans and other client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues, and other practice management tasks as needed.
The financial planning specialist works behind the scenes preparing advice deliverables and taking ownership over the end to end foundational and comprehensive advice process. Necessary qualities include being a self-starter, ability to think independently, and strong problem-solving skills. A license is not required for this position. As always, the advisor is ultimately responsible for the analysis and recommendations delivered to the client.
Overseeing the coordination and completion of 200+ financial plans per year while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
Facilitating the gathering and organizing of necessary client data to complete a financial plan that supports our clients in their achievement of financial and personal goals.
Completing the financial analysis for the client in advance so that it can be reviewed by the Advisor. The software for the financial analysis includes Excel, Word, Navi-Plan, MoneyGuide Pro and various other support tools.
Ability to utilize and manipulate an Excel-based tracking system to ensure adherence to multiple deadlines.
Handling financial planning paperwork.
