The Town of Lisbon is accepting applications for the position of Finance Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting/financial functions in maintaining all of the Town’s fiscal records. This position oversees all of the Town’s financial systems (MUNIS/TRIO) and requires considerable knowledge of governmental accounting theory, GASB principles and practices; internal control procedures, reporting systems, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and is also responsible for the fixed asset program update. This position oversees the computer conversion from TRIO to MUNIS for various modules. Candidates should possess excellent organizational, computer, and communications skills. This position supervises the equivalent of 4 full-time staff positions and reports to the Town Manager. Hours of work Monday-Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM.
A minimum of five years-experience in governmental fund accounting and a four-year college degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Candidates with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
