The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the successful coordination and execution of the financial reporting process, including SEC reporting on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K and Proxy Statement. Additionally, the analyst will conduct research, assist in implementing new accounting guidance, and document accounting policies. Other duties include assisting with the administration and accounting for stock activity.
Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, including balance sheet, income statement, statement of shareholders' equity, statement of cash flows, footnotes, etc.
Assist with SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K and Proxy Statement
Assist with the administration of and accounting for stock-based compensation plans
Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned
Document existing accounting policies and the application of the accounting policies within the organization.
Monitor the activities of accounting standard setting bodies
Research, evaluate, and prepare new accounting policies, as needed, and provide functional guidance regarding the implementation of new accounting policies and the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g. lease standard)
Support the external audit process, including preparation of client-prepared schedules and maintenance of financial reporting process documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
3 - 5 years of corporate financial reporting experience and/or public accounting experience with significant exposure to external reporting requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SEC reporting requirements
Demonstrated experience preparing and/or analyzing financial statements and drafting notes to financial statements
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to interpret data to effectively report on financial results
Able to work independently and effectively within time constraints in a deadline driven environment
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
Strong problem-solving skills
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Experience with financial reporting tool, Active Disclosure
Experience with TM1 and/or other financial consolidation and reporting systems, such as SAP
