Own and execute the Audit Services vision, strategy, and goals. Responsible for developing and carrying out risk based audit plans in Corporate areas (IT, Accounting, HR, Finance, etc.). Responsible for reviewing and approving individual audits including designing and recommending audit procedures to be used in compliance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, the requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the related PCAOB Standards as well as any applicable legal requirements or established company policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the department Charter as approved by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Supports Dominion Energy leadership in identification of risks and controls. Works closely with the Company’s external auditors to coordinate audit efforts both for the financial statement audit and the audit of internal controls. Responsible for the prompt identification and evaluation of changes in regulations that might affect the audit process and the implementation of changes in procedures that might be required. Actively engage to attract, develop, and retain top talent to the Audit Services department. Evaluate and engage third party internal audit services providers when needed to achieve department objectives. Minimal travel required.

10 years experience in financial accounting, IT audit, or related areas.
8 years experience in management.
Previous energy industry experience preferred.
Previous IT audit experience a plus.
Extensive understanding and a working knowledge in evaluating the design effectiveness and operational effectiveness of a system of internal controls.
In-depth and expert knowledge of audit standards and procedures.
Sound working knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Results orientation with solid process improvement skills.
Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Extensive understanding of various financial data systems and processes.
Proven management and decision making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required to interface with all levels of the organization and to conduct meetings with senior management and external auditors.
