Manages all closed loan aspects of the organization including all closed/service, service released, fund/sold loans, forecasting delinquencies, training and technical administration functions.
Provides accurate loan information to the Executive Director to enhance planning and budget development of the loan servicing/compliance department.
Interprets loan data and provides loan servicing/compliance consultation and advice to solve complex delinquency problems.
Responsible for helping determine the strategic direction of the organization as well as directing the fiscal functions ensuring compliance with all regulatory and advisory organizations.
Works under minimal supervision of the Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond; Work is reviewed through employee evaluations, report records, and conferences.
Accounts for Collections, Foreclosures, Judgments, Liens, and Lien Releases.
Develops and manages all aspects of servicing partnerships.
Assigned one fundraising event yearly to manage and oversee, as well as volunteer for all NHSR events.
Adheres to all compliance reporting and regulations for NHSR at all times.
In the absence of the Executive Director, steps up to take a management and leadership role, which means, leading by example.
Presents loan plans and forecasts to the Executive Director.
Participates with the Executive Director and Board of Directors in establishing the strategic direction of the organization.
Assists with the development of strategic plans and completes the related loan servicing/compliance forecasts based on present conditions and future assumptions as appropriate to monitor the objectives of the plans.
Supports the Executive Director by making reports and recommendations on loan servicing/compliance matters.
Ensures that an adequate system of internal control has been implemented and is effective to ensure that the organization's loans and counseling files are properly safeguarded.
Implements and manages the organization's technical management systems, including systems for: loan servicing, loan origination, counseling tracking system, cash management and property control.
Maintains dual control for compliance on all files and collections of any funds.
Communicates recommendations for best practices to enhance the organization's efficiency and effectiveness and suggests policy changes in line with the organization's loan service/compliance initiatives.
Implements all aspects of the loan payment processing operation including loan servicing system update, maintenance and delinquency reporting, and production report on fees for the department.
Communicates with the organization's independent auditors on an ongoing basis and facilitates/manages the organization's annual audit of all homeowner insurance and tax compliance requirements; Update all hazard insurances with lien position and coverage amounts accurate for the loan amount.
Maintains updated loan files with all insurance payment invoices as well as real estate tax invoices for compliance.
Maintains all copies of correspondence for each individual loan file.
Provides oversight for all payments received and posted relationships including banking payment deposits received before 2:00 p.m. and any payments received after 2:00 p.m. posted the next business day.
All payments must be posted with all fees entered into LSSI.
Performs other duties as assigned.
